A good skin care routine has become one of the most integral parts of healthy living. Having good and healthy skin is not only for better looking but also for self-confidence. 

Everyone nowadays is trying to look better, but they don’t know-how, how to maintain our skin? So, today I am going to guide you through some face care tips or routine as you might see.

Basically, there are multi-face types like Oily, Dry, Combination, Combination to dry, etc. My skin is oily and I think that’s the worst type, only oily skin people will understand this. Anyway, so you don’t have to worry this routine is for people with every face type. Feel free to follow.

Face care routine or skin care routine is not only about Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturizing. First, make sure to leave behind anything you had in your mind previously about Skincare.

1. Cleansing –  

There are so many Cleansers available market like Gel Cleansers, Lotion Cleanser, Foam Cleanser, etc. 

So you need to choose Cleanser depending upon your skin type, but which type will suit my skin?

I can’t tell which type to use but can suggest you avoid some cleansers depending on your face type.

If you have Oily Skin then avoid Cleansers with oily, or moisturizing properties.

If you have Dry Skin then avoid Foam Cleansers, cause it can completely dry out your skin.

Other than that, feel free to try other Cleansers and choose which suits your skin. Make sure to use them twice daily.

2. Exfoliating –

Exfoliating is the part where most people just ignore this part of the routine. This is a really important skin care routine.

Exfoliating your skin every week or twice a week depending on your skin type will remove all your dead skin cells, suntan, and boost your collagen synthesis process.

3. Toning –

You might have not heard of Toning or even you’ve heard, you might think that it’s just too much. But today I am going to convince you that why is toning necessary.

Due to cleansers, your skin might lose the balance between your pH level that is 7. Cleansers might raise your pH level or down it, depending on your skin type.

To make your skin balanced again you need to use Toners. What Toner does is removes your makeup if you have it, removes cleanser residues, prepares your skin for moisturizer, which we will talk later & also detoxifies in some cases.

4. Moisturizer – 

You might be already familiar with the term moisturizer, and you might use it too. If not, then what are you doing.

Moisturizer helps your skin to heal, prevents rashes, its best skin protection in winter because everyone’s skin becomes dry.

Just like Toner, Moisturizer also helps your skin to balance. If your skin is too dry or too oily it might give you a severe breakdown. 

Now the biggest misconception, if you have oily skin then you don’t have to use moisturizer. Always use moisturizer even if your skin is oily.

Use Moisturizer right after using Toning, or Cleansing your face. Apply twice daily, it’s an important part of skin care routine.

5. Protection –

This part of our face care regime is also one of the most important. Direct sun rays can harm your skin quite worse than you think. Using a proper sunscreen before going in direct UV rays is a must. It’s even recommended by dermatologists.

Going in direct sunlight can cause wrinkles or even some age spots, suntan, dry pores, sunburn, and most severe even Skin Cancer.

Sun rays are a healthy source of Vitamin D if you are confused, but only morning sunlight of 10-15 minutes is good for health.
